This pure cotton voile, nice and wide at 58”, is the lightest weight of our cotton underlinings. It’s almost see-through, like a very fine-quality cotton gauze. It’s perfect for the lightest weight of support you might want a garment to have. If I’m making a Classic French Jacket, for instance, and the fabric is loosely-woven, I like to slip a layer of this between the fashion fabric and the lining, just to add a bit of stability without making things too bodied or stiff.
