Sit-and-Sew Sessions with Kenneth King Do you love to sew? Then join sewing experts Susan Khalje and Kenneth D. King as they share their wealth of knowledge with you for 4 days the Sew Fast/Sew Easy Studio in Manhattan. Whether you need help achieving the perfect fit, advice on construction, or design input, Susan and Kenneth will be there to guide you. In addition to their personalized instruction, Susan and Kenneth will give daily demonstrations. Kenneth’s will be pattern and tailoring-oriented, and Susan’s will be couture-oriented. The class will be limited to 15 students, so you can be sure of plenty of personal attention from these gifted and generous teachers. Susan Khalje, host of HGTV/DIY Network’s long-running program, “Sew Much More,” author of Bridal Couture and Linen and Cotton, and recipient of the Professional Association of Custom Clothiers’ Lifetime Achievement Award, joins fellow Threads Magazine Contributing Editor Kenneth D. King for a New York seminar. Designer to the rich and famous, and now based in New York where he is a professor at F.I.T., Kenneth is known for his Threads articles, his books (Designer Techniques and Designer Bead Embroidery), his line of CD’s, his TV show (“Sewing Today”) and his dashing personal style. The class will be held at the Sew Fast/Sew Easy Studio, located at 147 W. 35th St., in the heart of the garment district; further details will be sent upon receipt of your registration form. New York City November 18-21, 2010 Class hours will be from 9:30am–5pm. The cost of the 4-day class is $750.  |
